Taradale Healthy Homes Compliance Timeframes

Tenancies established from 1 July 2019 and the 30th June in 2021

  • Insulation of the underfloor and ceiling is required in all Taradale and New Zealand rental houses where it is reasonably practicable to put in.
  • A Healthy Homes Intent to Comply Statement along with an Insulation Declaration and an Insurance Statement must be included with any new, renewed or altered tenancy contract.

From 1 July 2024

  • All rentals houses must be in compliance with the Healthy Homes Standards regardless of the time of the first day of tenancy.
