Fines for Failing to Comply

Meeanee Healthy Homes Compliance Timeframes

Tenancies that were signed from 1 July 2019 to the 30th June in 2021

  • Underfloor and ceiling insulation is mandatory in all Meeanee and New Zealand rental houses where it is reasonably practicable to put in.
  • A Healthy Homes Declaration of Intent as well as an Insulation Statement, and an Insurance Statement must be included with any new, renewed or modified tenancy agreement.
  • Property managers and landlords have to keep records that prove conformance with the Healthy Homes Standard that apply or will be in force to the rental property.

Beginning 1 July 2021
